No - you can get divorced where you are. If you don't have any property to divide between you, you can file for divorce yourself in most states. Check Amazon - I know there are a number of books out there that will walk you through the process, and even give you the verbiage you need to use to file. I know, I filed for divorce in CA about 10 years ago and my ex was living in OR, but we'd last lived together in NV.
