Weekend Away with Boyfriend?

My boyfriend and I have been together for awhile and things has been rocky lately. I was think of a weekend away just the two of us. Im on a tight tight budget we live in Ft. Lauderdale so anything locate (including miami) staying at hotel maybe going to one of our attractions. Please any ideas...Also don't want to be stuck in a hotel all weekend or at his place.
