I was told the authors writing from the book twilight sucks, but the story itself good. . .?

It's about the same writing level as that of Harry Potter when you get right down to it. I'm 28 years old though and love both the Twilight Series and Harry Potter. So don't judge a book before you've read it. Her writing isn't great, but the story is. I'd at least give it a try, you'll either love it or hate it.
