After the2/09 change will a digital TV continue to work directly off the Comcast Coax or will I need a box?

If you have a TV that is considered "digital" (digital tuner) you are all set. You do not need a digital converter box. The change to digital broadcasting in Feb. 2009 will only affect the older og sets that receive signals via "rabbit ears" or an externally mounted antenna. They will require a converter box. Please note that "digital" is not the same as HD (high definition). Digital is a method of broadcasting a signal. High definition refers to the picture quality of the signal or your TV's ability to display a high definition picture. In the past and even now an og signal can be a high definition signal. The change over to all digital will begin in Feb. 2009. Not all areas will complete the change at that time. The differences between high definition and digital are getting a bit fuzzy due to manufacturers marketing strategies.
